Visual Concepts, the game’s developer hasn’t revealed a lot of the new features we can expect with NBA 2K16’s release. We don’t expect to see the game fully detailed until this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo in June. Apple’s iPhone and iPad are getting their own NBA 2K16 releases. Android and Microsoft’s Windows platforms are getting dedicated NBA 2K16 releases too. The same leaks that revealed Spike Lee would play a large role in NBA 2K16 from website Polygon also revealed who would be on the cover. Based on the response we recieved on NBA 2K wishlist in the comments section, we are adding few more features. In future also we will continously update the list, so make sure you add your valuable comment at the end of this post.

 

Players that have high ratings for specific skills such as ball passing and dribbling should be made to perform on par with the rating. High hand rated players appear to fumble with the ball during the game. Passing skills of high rated players should feature more accuracy. The NBA, I think, understands this. After the rush into exclusive licensing agreements a decade ago, the NBA considered one, I'm told, but passed on it. At the time, EA Sports' basketball title was a more robust competitor to 2K Sports, and that may have influenced the decision. Still, can you imagine where the NBA would be had they gone exclusive with EA Sports in 2006?

 

Were it not for the online issues, NBA 2K16 would be the closest thing to a "perfect" video game basketball experience we have yet come to. In fact, it still probably is. This is one of those rare sports games where the offline content nearly made me forget about the online component. There is just so much to do, see, and mess around with, that I almost forgot playing online was even an option. NBA 2K16 is an easy game to lose one's self in, a perfect remedy for the NBA-lockout blues. Let the players and the owners haggle over profit splits and broken contract systems. With NBA 2K16 around, you'll hardly even miss the real thing.

 

2K16 has a game mode for every type of gamer. These have all been revamped and improved this year. First we have MyLeague, which is pretty much The Association from past games on steroids. This time around instead of using stock rosters and controlling one team, you can control as many teams as you want as well as import any roster. There is so much variety in NBA 2K16 that it can easily keep you playing right up until to the release of 2K16. The new GM mode will satisfy any sports simulation fan. The depth in the mode alone is just astounding. It's probably the "sleeper" mode of this year.

 

As we discovered, some of the more basic elements have been thoroughly refined. Sprinting will have you run out of stamina much quicker than the previous 2013 or 2012 versions making the game feel more realistic (and harder). Defence play has also been vastly improved upon. This time round reaching in for the ball has a far greater chance of success so you won’t be wincing each time waiting for the dreaded FOUL to push your C grade to the depths of D (yes, the grading system is much the same as last year’s, though far less forgiving). Coach Graeme pointed out though that many things have indeed changed; the right analogue now controls crossovers, quick dodging and spins for example – meaning you have to relearn every damn move. This in itself wasn’t a problem for my fanboy friend, but the lack of a proper, in-depth tutorial most certainly was.

 

NBA 2K16 revolutionized the process of realistic character rendering. NBA 2K16 strives to build upon what last year's game started. For the most part, the game is as visually pleasing as it was last year. There's a few changes, but I'm not sure you can call all of the new details improvements. Some may see the changes as regression, others as improvements and some could be indifferent. Some of the new look-such as the new body models-is a stylistic alteration. NBA 2K16 plays the best basketball on the court of any video game I ever played. This fact stands in a stark contrast to the experience of actually trying to play a game in many of the modes. That part ranges from unplayable to, well, playable, but with a decent chance the game will freeze, drop or won’t count altogether, forcing you to relive the last 48 minutes (or so) all over again.
