Equip the hammer and click the Hellforge, and the Soulstone should automatically leave your inventory and appear on the forge. Attack it with the hammer until it explodes in a shower of Runes and Gems and other prizes.

This is a really good way to get Runes, kinda like The Countess. However, the catch is that you can only do the Hellforge once per difficulty level. On the bright side, you can get some really, really powerful Runes here, so good luck on the draw.
